Episode Transcript
Jesus said in Matthew 28:19, Go, therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Welcome to Go Teach all nations, bringing you Christ's teachings through Australian and international speakers.
And here is today's presenter, Pastor Andrew Russell. Continuing the message, the loud cry, the issue of the great contest. Two distinct opposite classes are developed. That's in the third angel's message. There's those who receive the image and the beast, the image and the marks. Sorry. And there are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. One class worship the beast and his image and receive his mark and thus bring upon themselves the awful judgments threatened by the third angel. The other class, in marked contrast to the world, do what? Keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. The work of Sabbath reform notice now.
Speaker A
To be accomplished in the last days is clearly brought to view.
Speaker A
Since 1844, in fulfillment of the prophecy of the third angel's message, the attention of the world has been called to the true Sabbath and a constantly increasing number are returning to the observance of of God's holy day. Anyone here used to be a Sunday keeper before and now is sitting as a Seventh Day Adventist? Yeah, my hand's up too. See that?
Speaker A
Because we believe there's nothing wrong with God's commandments. We know the problem is with us, isn't it sinners that we're all in a sinful condition. And if it's not for the grace of God calling to our souls, bringing us to a knowledge of the scriptures, well, we'd be lost.
Speaker A
We'd be lost. Eternally.
Speaker A
Eternally lost.
Speaker A
Don't worry. This one life is not your only life. Every man, woman and child will stand before the Lord one day to give an account.
Speaker A
For the grace that was offered them through the Lord Jesus Christ.
Speaker A
So the work of Sabbath reform was actually brought to view here. Now, which church has been carrying forward the proclamation of the three angels messages?
Speaker A
Which church? The Seventh Day Adventist Church. So who's the messenger that's carrying the messages?
Speaker A
The Seventh Day Adventist Church. There's no other church carrying these messages except the Seventh Day Adventist Church.
Speaker A
And my brothers and sisters. I'll tell you now that Sabbath reform begins in the home.
Speaker A
Begins in your life. No point telling everyone else about the Sabbath. I wonder how many were ready to meet the Lord last night.
Speaker A
When the sun set? How many of you were ready.
Speaker A
And put your hand up.
Speaker A
How many of you were ready to meet the Lord?
Speaker A
You see what we're hearing here in the three angels message is a serious and solemn message. God is not playing around.
Speaker A
Jesus said, you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. What does it set us free from?
Speaker A
Sets us free from sin and condemnation. Amen. And the insanity of man is that man would rather choose to remain in sin and condemnation.
Speaker A
And then we think we're smart. When you're really stupid, we're like fools. We'd rather stay in sin.
Speaker A
We'd rather live for now than for eternity.
Speaker A
What does God desire? Oh, friends, God loves you. He desires to spend eternity with you. That's what he desires.
Speaker A
Hence the message.
Speaker A
And so that's the message. And the Seventh Adventist Church is the messenger. And they always say, don't shoot the messenger. Right?
Speaker A
Don't shoot the messenger. The messenger is just doing what he's called to do. But now I want you to Notice that the second angel's message of Revelation 14:18 is repeated. And where is it repeated? Now? This is the loud cry here. It's repeated in Revelation chapter 18 in verse 1 and 2. Really? Verse 1 to 3 it says, and after these things, I saw another angel come down from heaven.
Speaker A
Having great power. And the earth was lightened with his glory. Notice John in vision sees another angel coming down from heaven and the earth is lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily. The loud cry. He cried mightily with a what? Strong voice saying Babylon the great is fallen. Is fallen. Notice it's repeated there. And is become the habitation of devils and the hold of every foul spirit and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. What does it mean now? Why is it so definitive? Isn't it before it said Babylon has fallen. Now under the loud cry it's saying, Babylon is fallen. It's fallen. It's become inhabited by devils. It's become inhabited by devils.
Speaker A
What's taking place there, Brothers and sisters? We need to know because there's a crisis looming.
Speaker A
Just up ahead.
Speaker A
Let me share with you a statement here from the Great Controversy. Now I want to take us to the Great Controversy. You know what saddens me is that God's people do not read the spirit of prophecy.
Speaker A
People do not pick up the books like Great Controversy.
Speaker A
And desire of ages and patriarchs and prophets and councils on diets and foods, evangelism and whatever. So much that the Lord has given to us so that we can understand last day events. God's people do not pick up the spirit of prophecy and read, how are you going to understand if you don't read. Do you know what Sister White says? The reason why she was given the gift of prophecy was because God's people were not studying the Scriptures as they should.
Speaker A
And God, in his mercy and love, is chosen to give us greater understanding, to help us understand the things that pertain to our salvation.
Speaker A
You ought to read the great controversy, brothers and sisters.
Speaker A
She writes this scripture. That's now the loud cry. The angel that comes with a loud cry and a strong voice. This scripture points what.
Speaker A
Where? Forward. Points forward to a time when the announcement of the fall of Babylon as made by the second angel of Revelation 14 is to be repeated with the additional mention of the corruptions.
Speaker A
With the additional mention of the corruptions which have been entering. That's why it says fallen is fallen. It's mentioned twice.
Speaker A
Which have been entering the various organizations that constitute Babylon since that message was first given in the summer of 1844. That's when it was first given. A terrible condition of the religious world is here described.
Speaker A
With every rejection of truth, the minds of the people will become darker.
Speaker A
Their hearts more stubborn. Until they are entrenched in an infidel hardihood. Hardness of heart. In defiance of the warnings which God has given, they will continue to trample upon one of the precepts of the decalogue. That's the Sabbath commandment. Until they are led to persecute those who hold it sacred. So because they continually reject the truth. Because people are constantly rejecting the truth and the knowledge of the Sabbath day. Brothers and sisters, the Sabbath day takes us back to creation, Isn't that right?
Speaker A
That's where the Sabbath was blessed and sanctified and set apart for us.
Speaker A
It takes us back to the true knowledge of our Creator. And the Sabbath is a sign. Anyone know what the Sabbath is a sign of?
Speaker A
Exodus 31, 14, 17.
Speaker A
Hallow my Sabbath, says the Lord.
Speaker A
That you might know that I am the Lord which doth what sanctify you. I'm the Lord that makes you holy. Just like I set the Sabbath aside. Just as my authority is, it was regarded in the setting aside of the Sabbath. So those who regard my authority and presence in their life shall be made holy. Amen. Shall be made holy.
Speaker A
You cannot be made unholy when you're walking in the presence of God. You cannot be made unholy when the word of God is having free course in your life. You cannot be made unholy when the counsels of the Lord is what you treasure and what you walk in. But to do the opposite, you are made unholy. That's why the Sabbath is a sign.
Speaker A
Does God's word have free course in your life? Are you being guided by the counsels and the wisdom of God? Do you understand what God expects of you as a Seventh Day Adventist?
Speaker A
Because God's not in the business of compromising with you and me. Amen.
Speaker A
He knows what's right and what's true. And he knows what's best for us. And when we allow him to have that presence as our Heavenly Father, then we are made holy. You cannot dwell. Imagine. Listen. God's calling for people to dwell in his presence. Amen.
Speaker A
That's what it means to be a believer. It's simply to dwell in the presence of God and learn from him and have him guide your life.
Speaker A
And without that guidance, guess who's guiding your life?
Speaker A
It's not God. And if it's not God, who is it? It's the devil. But people don't want to believe that. We don't want to believe that there's a devil. Amen.
Speaker A
It's an unpopular truth. Even though the Bible speaks of the fall of Satan and his desire and his success in taking this world captive and taking humanity captive, people will not want to believe that they actually need salvation.
Speaker A
Through Jesus Christ.
Speaker A
Satan blinds the eyes of men. He'll have you plug up your ears. Don't tell me. I don't want to hear it. Let me just do what I want to do. That's what he said to Eve. Eve, you don't need to listen to God. Just do what you want to do. Eat what you want to eat. Live how you want to live.
Speaker A
That's a deception. But God wants us to dwell in his presence and to guide us.
Speaker A
We go on. The powers of earth, uniting to war against the commandments of God, will decree that all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, shall conform to the customs of the Church by the observance of the faith. False Sabbath.
Speaker A
The powers of the earth. Notice, that's not just religious powers.
Speaker A
Everyone.
Speaker A
Will conform.
Speaker A
The powers of earth, uniting to war against the commandments of God, will decree.
Speaker A
They shall conform to the customs of the Church. That's the fallen Church. By the observance of the false Sabbath, the powers of. Sorry, let me continue. All who refuse compliance.
Speaker A
All who refuse that decree to comply with a false Sabbath or a Sunday Sabbath, or the mark of the beast. All who refuse compliance will be visited with civil penalties. And it will finally be declared that they are deserving of death. Isn't that what it says in Revelation. You still got your Bibles open there at Revelation 14. Look at Revelation 13.
Speaker A
Revelation 13.
Speaker A
It says in Revelation 13, 15.
Speaker A
And 16 it says, and he had power to give life unto the image of the beast. Now, for those of us who have been here and studied this, and when I did the series toward the end of last year, in September, we covered this America in prophecy. This is talking about America.
Speaker A
And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast. And the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship. The image of the beast should be what should be killed in verse 16. And he causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their foreheads. And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name. This is persecution. This is what's coming against God's people because they reject the mark of the beast. And what does the image represent? What is the image of the beast? Can anyone tell me what the image of the beast is? Well, hold on a moment. How many of you know what the image of the beast is? Just quick show of hands, show me what is the image of the beast. Okay. I praise the Lord for putting this message on my heart today, man.
Speaker A
Because sometimes we come to church, we hear things, but we don't really hear. We hear, but it doesn't, you know, because we need the Holy Spirit. We need the Holy Spirit to really help us. We need to ask, Lord, help me to understand. Help me to follow the preacher.
Speaker A
The image of the beast or the image of Babylon is a reflection of the image of Babylon in the Old Testament. You remember, Babylon raised a great golden image in Daniel chapter three. And all the world were caused to bow down to that image. Remember that? And Daniel's friends didn't bow down to the image, and they were persecuted and thrown into the fiery furnace. Right? The image there, right? This is not a literal image. Now, at the end of time, this message is going to all the world, right? The three angels, messages. So we're not going to have a big golden image in some country that all the world has to come and bow down to. No, no, not at all. But what we need to understand is what was taking place in Daniel 3, and what was taking place in Daniel 3 was that the. The kingdom of Babylon, the king of Babylon, he. He decreed that an image be erected. And then he decreed that everyone worshiped the image. Isn't that right. But he was a king, he was the state official and he, the Bible says he called all these judges and magistrates and rulers and sheriffs. And so what was happening there was. There was a coming together, a unification of, of the state with a religious.
Speaker A
Obligation. Are you with me? It was a coming together of church and state. So when we read about the image here in Revelation, the image represents the unification of church and state.
Speaker A
Now let me ask you, would you like the church to unite with the state? Yes or no? No. Why not?
Speaker A
Look what happened to Jesus.
Speaker A
When the church went to Pontius Pilate and said, crucify him. Crucify him. What business does the state have in religious affairs?
Speaker A
Now Christianity, praise the Lord, has influenced men in political.
Speaker A
Positions, isn't that right? It's given them some grounds for morality so that they can make good decisions and wise decisions. But the church and the state shouldn't be together.
Speaker A
That's what the image represents. And the Bible says here, as we just read, that there will be persecution, people won't be able to buy and sell, and people, God's people, will even be put to death. And that's what Sister White's referring to here. All who refuse compliance will be visited with civil penalties and it will finally be declared that they are deserving of death. How far away is this looming crisis? Brothers and sisters.
Speaker A
Share with you just a little bit of an update. This is from the Heritage foundation.
Speaker A
And this is from page 598. See just recently in 2023.
Speaker A
The Heritage foundation, which is a conservative Christian think tank organization.
Speaker A
They an organization of elites and they bear strong influence over the American government. They're quite influential and they released their Project 2025 document what Year Are we in.
Speaker A
2025?
Speaker A
On page 589, the following statement is made. God ordained the Sabbath as a day of rest. And until very recently, the Judeo Christian tradition sought to honour that mandate by moral and legal regulation of work on that day.
Speaker A
In other words, they're saying that Christians have sought to honor that, always sought to honor that day, even through legal processes. Now what are they referring to? Well, they're referring to the Sunday blue laws that are in the American Constitution, Sunday rest laws that are already there and were enforced in the late 1800s. That's what they're referring to. We used to do this is what they say. Moreover, a shared day off makes it possible for families and communities to enjoy time off together. Sounds good, right? Rather than as atomized individuals and provides a healthier cadence of life for Everyone and you can see their presidents that speak at the Heritage foundation, very strong alliances there. In fact, Trump is in implementing a fair amount Ronald Reagan did too of some of the agenda that the Heritage foundation thought would be profitable for America.
Speaker A
Goes on to say, unfortunately, that communal day of rest has eroded under the pressures of consumerism and secularism, especially for low income workers. Consumer Congress should encourage communal rest by amending the Fair Labour Standards act to require that workers be paid time and a half for hours worked on the Sabbath. That day would default to what Sunday?
Speaker A
They want this in 2025. Brothers and sisters.
Speaker A
How far away are we from the looming crisis? How far away are we from the things that God has declared?
Speaker A
Where are you with the Lord, brothers and sisters today?
Speaker A
Let me share with you another statement here or another article.
Speaker A
Because there is Sunday agitation, Sunday agitation for Sunday legislation.
Speaker A
This gentleman here.
Speaker A
It says, well, let me his name is ken ivory.
Speaker A
On January 9, 2025, the Salt Lake Tribune published an article in which it noted that Republican Utah Representative Ken Ivery worked to pass a law where large franchises like Burger King, Jiffy Lube, Pizza Hut and others from requiring their local franchise owners to operate on Sundays. Ken wants places.
Speaker A
To observe Sunday for their employees. In other words.
Speaker A
This bill provides them with the freedom to observe the same Sunday's expected right and expectation and enshrined in the US Constitution.
Speaker A
Let me share with you another one. On Wednesday, March 19th. Oh, when was March 19th? 2025. That was this week, wasn't it? Oh, this week the Denver, Colorado reposted their news article where Congresswoman Lauren Boubert stated that she's tired of this separation of church and state junk. Her comments were made Sunday to a crowd at the Cornerstone Christian Center. Oh, brothers and sisters, you see what's happening. Church and state need to come together. Just like God said church and state need to come together. We need to legislate Sunday.
Speaker A
You see, voices of organizations like the Heritage foundation and also Ken Ivory and Lauren Bubert are appealing for the unification of church and state which will ultimately result in Sunday Sabbath legislation in the United States and around the world. That's what the Bible says is going to happen. I wonder if you know the times and seasons that we are living in.
Speaker A
Let me read you the statement here. Great controversy heretofore. Those who presented the truths of the third angel's message have often been regarded as mere alarmists. Come on, you've heard it all before, haven't you Heard it all before?
Speaker A
Their predictions that religious intolerance would gain control in the United States, that church and state would unite to persecute those who keep the commandments of God have been pronounced groundless and absurd.
Speaker A
But as the question of enforcing Sunday observance is widely agitated. That's what's happening right now. That's what I just shared with you from the news, and you won't find this on your regular news channel. But as the question of enforcing Sunday observance is widely agitated, the event so long doubted and disbelieved is seen to be approaching. And the third message will produce an effect which it could not have had before.
Speaker A
Thus, the message of the third angel will be proclaimed as the time comes for it to be given with greatest power. The Lord will work through humble instruments, leading the minds of those who consecrate themselves to his service.
Speaker A
The Lord's going to work through humble instruments. The laborers will be qualified.
Speaker A
Rather by the unction of his spirit than by the training of literary institutions. Forget about Avondale College. God's going to do a work in your life. He wants to do a work in your life. In my life. He wants to do a work in the local church. Men of faith and prayer will be constrained to go forth with holy zeal, declaring the words which God gives them. Men of what.
Speaker A
Faith? In prayer. Brothers and sisters, the people that are going to finish this work are people of faith. Prayer.
Speaker A
They're the ones. People of faith and prayer.
Speaker A
They are going to receive an unction of the Holy Spirit. Brothers and sisters.
Speaker A
The Holy Spirit's compelling them. The Holy Spirit brings them under conviction. The Holy Spirit puts a desire, an overwhelming desire in their life to go forth and declare the truth for our time. Have you seen people like that?
Speaker A
Are you like that? Because that's what the Holy Spirit is actually trying to do in your life. If you wait for me to do it and the elders to do it, our brothers and sisters, we'll never get it done. Amen. But the Holy Spirit is the caller and the equipper. He's the one that bids you and he's the one that enables you.
Speaker A
As the controversy extends into new fields and the minds of the people are called to God's downtrodden law, Satan is astir. The power attending. The message will only madden those who what opposing. You see, when you hear the truth, you can respond one of two ways. You can say, wow, amazing. I didn't know these things, right?
Speaker A
Or you get upset by it. And as the Holy Spirit is trying to do this final work with God's people, right? As they're sharing these truths. There are those that will get mad and they will oppose it. The clergy. What's the clergy?
Speaker A
Who are the clergy?
Speaker A
Church leaders. Isn't that right, church leaders? The clergy will put forth almost superhuman efforts to shut away the light. They don't want their congregation to know lest it should shine upon their flocks. Everyone wants to play church. I want to keep my flock. Don't go over there. You know, when I was writing this, I was thinking of Padma and Urmesh. Padma, I hope you don't mind me mentioning you there.
Speaker A
But you were in a church, didn't you? And Padma, you. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you go to the minister to ask some questions? Yes. Look where Padma's ended up.
Speaker A
The clergy will put forth all my superhuman efforts to shut away the light lest it should shine upon their flocks. The church appeals to the strong arm of civil power. That's now the fallen church appeals to the strong arm of civil power. And in this work, Papists and Protestants unite.
Speaker A
Oh, my friends, you shouldn't be afraid of witnessing and preaching and sharing the three angels messages. Because guess what? You're going to be hated.
Speaker A
It's no surprise that people are going to reject you. It's no surprise when you knock on the door that people don't want to talk to you. You shouldn't be surprised by that. Some people are so fearful of. I don't know if I can tell my friend at work. I don't know if I can tell my family. I don't know how you know. And so we just keep quiet. No, you need to tell. Amen. You need to tell. You need to speak. You need to give people the opportunity to respond to the precious truths. And. And if you are disliked, if you are marginalized, if you are hated, so what? So let it be. Amen. Because Jesus was marginalized. Jesus was hated without a cause.
Speaker A
Jesus was sent to the cross.
Speaker A
Under the very spirit that works today, that spirit of iniquity.
Speaker A
That's how Jesus ended up there.
Speaker A
To human wisdom. Sister White goes on to say, all this now seems impossible.
Speaker A
But it seems impossible that this persecution would come. Right? But as the restraining spirit of God shall be what withdrawn from men.
Speaker A
I like to tell people because many of us think we're pretty good. People think they're pretty good, generally speaking. Right? Most people don't think they're. They're not murderers. I'm not going out there murdering anyone. I'm not doing really anything majorly wrong. I'M trying to live the right life. I tell people the only good that you have in your life, the only good things that you do is because of the presence of the Holy Spirit on earth. It's because of the convicting influence of the Holy Spirit in your life that you are actually living your life according to some principles and some values that are godly. But when the Holy Spirit is removed.
Speaker A
Goes on to say, and they shall be under the control of Satan, who hates the divine precepts, who hates the commandments of God, there will be strange developments. Oh, you're going to see things that you wouldn't imagine. The heart can be very cruel when God's fear and love are removed. You just have to study the history of the Dark Ages or the Middle Ages and look at what people did to Christians.
Speaker A
Horrific stuff.
Speaker A
All kinds of methods of torture.
Speaker A
But we can't believe that, can we? Can't. Surely not. Brothers and sisters, when men continually reject the Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit begins to withdraw and they come under the influence of demonic spirits.
Speaker A
Demonic spirits have more sway in their lives.
Speaker A
But notice as the storm approaches, a large class who have professed faith in the third angel's message, but have not been sanctified through obedience to the truth.
Speaker A
Abandon their position.
Speaker A
And join the ranks of the opposition.
Speaker A
By uniting with the world.
Speaker A
And partaking of its spirit, they have come to view matters in nearly the same light. And when the test is brought, they are prepared to choose the easy, popular side.
Speaker A
If you think Covid was challenging.
Speaker A
If you felt like the government was doing wrong by you because you couldn't leave your suburb to go and work without getting a vaccination, you just wait till this breaks out. And brothers, we are well on our way to this.
Speaker A
To this period of the loud cry. And unfortunately, those who are not walking in the light of truth today.
Speaker A
They'Ll abandon their position. It's too hard.
Speaker A
Can't buy and sell too hard. I don't want to leave my nice house and flee to the mountains like Jesus said. Too hard.
Speaker A
No, I've got a two million dollar house. I can't leave it.
Speaker A
Too hard. We have examples in scripture of that, isn't it? Lot's w.
Speaker A
Today is the day, brothers.
Speaker A
To be sanctified through obedience to the truth. Notice, she goes on to say, as the opposition rises to a fiercer height, the servants of God. To a fiercer height. The servants of God are again perplexed. For it seems to them that they have brought the crisis. They're wondering, is it because of what we've done. But the conscience and the word of God assure them that their course is right. And although the trials continue, they are strengthened to bear them. Amen. The angel who unites in the proclamation of the third angel's message is to lighten the whole earth with his glory. A work of worldwide extent and unwanted power is here foretold. This now we're getting into the realm of what's called the latter. Rain. I want to save that for another time.
Speaker A
Revelation 18:2 again says, and he cried mightily with a strong voice and loud cry, saying, babylon, the greatest fallen, is fallen and has become the habitation of devils and the whole of every foul spirit and the cage of unclean and hateful world. That's the extent to which the fall takes place within Christendom. But it doesn't end there, does it? Verse 3 says, and I heard another voice from heaven saying, what come out of her, my people, that you be not partakers of her sins, that you receive not of her plagues.
Speaker A
Oh, the warnings are there, brothers and sisters, and we are well on our way.
Speaker A
To what we have just studied today. Under the loud cry, we are well on our way. Same sex marriage laws are an indication of the rejection of the Holy Spirit.
Speaker A
And various other things that you've been observing. Introduction of all kinds of.
Speaker A
Teaching on transgender and stuff in primary schools, even kindergartens. If you're paying attention, you know what? Parents have been trying to oppose that and speaking to education boards, that's a sign.
Speaker A
Of how the Holy Spirit is being grieved away. And people who persist in opposing the Sabbath, people who persist in spiritualism, rejecting the knowledge of the judgment, that people just die and go straight to heaven. Right? These are indications of the times that we are living in. And, brother, there's a looming, brothers and sisters, a looming crisis just around the corner. How close are we to that crisis?
Speaker A
Sunday agitation is happening even as we're sitting here in this place today. But God calls. Come out of her, my people. When God calls, where does he call us? Where does he call us to?
Speaker A
When he says, come out of Babylon, where does he call us to?
Speaker A
Sorry, I can't hear you.
Speaker A
To be witness.
Speaker A
To his truth. Yeah. What does he call us to? Anyone else?
Speaker A
Eternal life. He calls us to the foot of Calvary.
Speaker A
He calls us to Jesus first.
Speaker A
He calls us to that sacrifice that was made for our sins. That's where he calls us. And when we come through the cross, when we say, thank you, Lord, that you took my place, the destruction, the wrath that should have fallen upon me, Lord, it's fallen upon your son.
Speaker A
So that you don't look at me with eyes of condemnation, Lord, but you look at me as one that is in need of salvation.
Speaker A
You look at me through the eyes of love.
Speaker A
God calls us there. God calls us to repentance. And there we find salvation. And through the cross we come out of Babylon and into God's remnant church. Isn't that right? The church that carries the message. That carries these messages. I'll finish with a story here.
Speaker A
But let me just, in conclusion, just summarize what we've learned today in terms of the loud cry.
Speaker A
In the period of the loud cry, the voices crying out for Sunday legislation gets louder and louder. Amen. You've seen that the bonds of unification of church and state is strengthened like never before.
Speaker A
Opposition rises and rises until fierce opposition comes against the people of God. They begin to wonder if they have brought this upon themselves because they preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and his righteousness. That's what the commandment is all about. The opposition reaches epic proportions as God's people are made spectacles to the world.
Speaker A
Like Elijah was a troubler of Israel, God's people have made a spectacle to the world. They're going to be regarded as troublemakers for preaching this truth. At this time, the Holy Spirit begins to fall in greater measure, compelling and equipping God's faithful people to finish the work.
Speaker A
Mercy lingers for the last time under the loud cry. Brothers and sisters, as things are at its worst, the people of God are given the final proclamation.
Speaker A
Mercy lingers for the last time as God makes one last call to the world. Thousands and thousands join the ranks of God's remnant church just before the sins of Babylon evoke the wrath of God. Amen.
Speaker A
On February 4, 1879, a man by the name of Samuel Mitchell became the first Seventh Day Adventist martyr to a Sunday law in the United States.
Speaker A
Samuel was arrested for plowing his field on Sunday.
Speaker A
Samuel was offered money by a congressman to secure his confession and release.
Speaker A
While on another occasion, Samuel's release was offered on the condition that he promised not to work on Sunday again.
Speaker A
In both cases, Samuel refused.
Speaker A
But during his prison sentence, Samuel could not endure the damp cell that was affecting his health and he succumbed to the conditions and died never to see the light of day again.
Speaker A
Under Sunday Law, 1879, Samuel chose fidelity to Jesus Christ.
Speaker A
He chose a life surrendered to Christ.
Speaker A
Samuel was prepared to meet his persecutors.
Speaker A
Because God had prepared him. Amen. Because God had prepared Him. And I ask, what about you, dear brother and sister here today?
Speaker A
There is a looming crisis up ahead. It's even at the doors. Brothers and sisters, I even just shared with you some articles today as what's taking place even now as we're sitting here today. Are you prepared for what's up ahead?
Speaker A
Are you prepared to do a final work.
Speaker A
In a time of fierce opposition and persecution?
Speaker A
The loud cry is soon upon us.
Speaker A
Are you prepared to stand?
Speaker A
If your answer.
Speaker A
Is no, well, here's an opportunity to get prepared. Amen.
Speaker A
Here's an opportunity to come to the Lord.
Speaker A
Lord, I see clearly the things that you have stated in scripture, Lord. I see that things are heading straight into the loud cry, Lord, as they are.
Speaker A
Lord. I've been messing around.
Speaker A
I've had one foot in the church and one foot in the world. And Lord, even today I've learned that if I'm taken up with the world, then I won't even be able to stand.
Speaker A
Because I'm not allowing my life to be sanctified through obedience to the truth. Mercy lingers a little longer, brothers and sisters. It lingers for you and for me, and it lingers for others out there. Amen. Because God is patient, God is loving.
Speaker A
God is forgiving, and God is calling. Even as the apostle Peter wrote, the Lord is not slack concerning his promises. Some men count slackness, but is long suffering to us. Word.
Speaker A
Not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Speaker A
If you're not ready, brothers and sisters, now's the time to ask the Lord to make you ready. Now is the time to come to repentance. Now is the time to come to Jesus and allow God to do in your life what he's always wanted to do. Amen. Heavenly Father. Lord, today you've given us the message of the loud cry, Father. You've shown us what is just around the corner, Lord. Lord, we do not pretend to be prophets. We do not know exactly when these things break out. Father. But we already know, Lord, seeing today that Sunday agitation is continuing. Lord. In the courts of today.
Speaker A
Sunday legislation is on the agenda. Father.
Speaker A
We know, Father. Even Ellen White says the last moments shall be rapid ones. Father, today you've called us.
Speaker A
Your promise is, Father, you're not willing that any should perish, but that all might come to repentance. Father. Lord, read our hearts today.
Speaker A
Look into our hearts, Lord. You know what's in there, Father. Whatever idols there may be, Father, we pray you take it away from us, Lord.
Speaker A
Tear us away from those idols. Father, help us to come, Lord, to Jesus.
Speaker A
We ask you, Father, to forgive us. We ask you to forgive us where we've been double minded. We ask you to forgive us where we have not been people of faith and prayer. And we ask, Father, by your spirit today that you would fill us, Lord. Fill us and give us an overwhelming desire and conviction to walk in your presence.
Speaker A
That you may lead us, Father, into that way that is everlasting.
Speaker A
Oh Father, do this.
Speaker A
To the glory of God and to glorify your son, Lord, for the tremendous sacrifice he's made on our behalf. Thank you for your forgiveness, Lord, that streams from Calvary. And thank you Father, that through your grace, Lord, we are your people and that we may walk worthy of your calling.
Speaker A
Not just as Christians, Lord, but as Seventh Day Adventist Christians. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
