Jesus said in Matthew 28:19, go therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Welcome to Go Teach All Nations, bringing you Christ's teachings through Australian and international speakers. And here is today's presenter, Rebekah Roux. I wanna begin with a word of prayer, so let's bow our heads. Dear Heavenly Father, I wanna pray that you'll be with us now. You'll send your Holy Spirit to be with us, be with our minds, be with our thoughts, be with our hearts and our emotions, be with my words, And I pray that You will guide them just as You've promised. In Jesus' name, amen. It was 2012. I was 17 years old, and it was in the bush. You see, I grew up on a property. We had 16 acres, all covered in trees, except for that little section that we cleared out so we can put a house. And I grew up there with my 6 siblings, and I was homeschooled, so I spent most of my time there. On this particular occasion, I was outside in the bush, and I was practicing a speech. It's one of the things I had to do for school, so what better way to do it than outside where nobody can hear you? So I was out there, and I was practicing, and as I was walking along, practicing, practicing, I heard this noise. Like, huh, what's going on? So I went up to investigate, and it was coming from the top of our driveway. So as I went up there, I stayed out of sight, kept an eye out what was going on, and I saw a bunch of workmen, road workmen, sitting around having their lunch. I was like, oh, okay, radio, now I know what's going on. I'll go back to practicing my speech. But as I was continuing to practice, I started thinking. I was like, hmm, you know, one of the things I pray a lot about is how can I be a missionary and a witness for God? Because here I am out in the bush. I hardly see any people. I don't even see classmates at school because I'm homeschooled. Like, how am I supposed to witness for God? And as I was thinking about that, I was thinking about how there were these men right there at the top of our driveway, and I had an opportunity. Was I going to do something about it? And I knew I should, but I didn't want to. I was scared. I was scared of the reaction that I might get. I was scared that these guys would dismiss what I had to say, would make fun of me, or I'd screw it up. I'd say— I'd get my words all mixed up and not know what to say, and I'd say the wrong thing. And Maybe turn them off from God or whatever. I was really scared. I didn't want to mess it up. And because of that fear, I didn't want to do it. But the thoughts continued and I couldn't brush it out of my mind. So eventually I decided, okay, well, I should do something. All right, I'll do something. What am I going to do? So as I'm walking back to the house, I was thinking, thinking, thinking, and then I remembered that I had a glow tract. This was the glow tract that I had, and you probably can't see it, but it says, The End of the World. I borrowed it from just outside. This one was one that I'd gotten from a youth camp that I'd had, and I mean, it's a pretty cool story. I can tell you later how I got that glow tract, but I knew that's what I had. And so I thought, well, that's all I've got. That's what they're gonna get. So I went and I dug around, I found the glow tract. And then I'm like, I'm so scared. I'm not gonna do this by myself. I don't have that much courage. So I asked my brothers, do you wanna come? And they're like, nope, nope, nope, nope. Oh my God. Then one of them, second youngest brother, Nathan, he was 6 years old at the time. He was like, I'll go with you. I was like, okay, cool. It's better than nothing. So as we were going up the driveway, I was like praying, praying, praying for courage. And we're almost there. And he's like, okay, I'll wait here for you. I'm like, oh no. Anyway, so I kept going. And I was quoting these Bible promises that God will be with you. And I was, you know, trusting in Him. I knew I had the truth. I knew I was doing the right thing. I just needed courage to do it. And so I did it. And I came up to these men and I said, oh, look, I noticed you're up here and I just thought I'd just share something with you. I've got this tract about the end of the world, you know, maybe something to read while you're on your break. And one of the men said, oh, that's interesting. He said, we were just talking about the end of the world. I'm like, wow. That's amazing. And I was like, oh cool. And he said, hey, do you think the world's going to end on the 12th of the 12th? You know, it's 12th of the 12th, 2012. And I said, well, I don't really know about that, but I know that this will tell you what the Bible says about the end of the world. It will look at Look at the prophecies of how you'll know when it's near, and it talks about how to be ready for the end of the world. I was like, oh, cool, I'll definitely give it a read. And that was that. I walked back to the house, and I was grateful that God had given me the courage to do this, even though I was afraid and thought it would be a terrible outcome. It turned out it wasn't. But one of the reasons why I thought that it might be is because we are involved in a war. What is a war? A war is an armed conflict between nations, states, or rulers, or between groups in the same nation or state, and is typically characterized by a campaign or series of campaigns conducted over a period of time. So there's a couple of things we want to look at. First of all, this is a period of time. It's ongoing. It's not just a one-off thing, and it's armed conflict. So we need armor to fight in this war. So how do we know that we are involved in a war? Revelation 12:7-9 says, then there was war in heaven. Michael, which is one of the names for Jesus. So Jesus, Michael, and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels. And the dragon lost the battle, and he and his angels were forced out of heaven. This great dragon, the ancient serpent called the devil or Satan. So there you go. Now we know who the dragon is. The one deceiving the whole world was thrown down to the earth with all his angels. So we see here there's a war. It's happening in heaven. You've got the 2 parties, Jesus and His angels, the devil and his angels. They had this battle, this fight, and the devil lost. And where was he sent? He was sent to the earth. So where is this war taking place? Well, we know Satan was sent to the earth. It also says, and the dragon was angry at the woman and declared war against The rest of her children. Who are her children? All who keep God's commandments and maintain their testimony for Jesus. So guys, with this war, if you want to know what side you're on, this is telling you. If you're keeping God's commandments and maintaining your testimony for Jesus, you're on God's side, and the devil is angry at you. He's at war with you. Paul said to Timothy, Timothy, my son, here are my instructions for you based on the prophetic words spoken about you earlier. May they help you fight well in the Lord's battles. Just like Timothy, we have battles to fight, the Lord's battles. And so We need to fight. Where is this war happening? This war is actually happening in the mind. Romans 7:23 says, but there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. And if we read further in Romans in chapter 8, verse 6, We see, so letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death, but letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. So the war is happening on this earth involving us. It's happening in our minds and it's happening over our minds. It's a question of control. Who's going to be in control? Is God going to be in control or is Satan going to be in control? And the question is that the choice is ours. Now we've established that, that there is a war and it involves us. We need to know how to fight it. So in Proverbs 20:18, it says, plans succeed through good counsel. Don't go to war without wise advice. It's an important thing to remember. We need wise advice before we go to war. But that begs the question, where are we going to get that wise advice? Where are we going to get that wisdom? The cool thing is the Bible has an answer for that as well. In James 1:5, we read, if you need wisdom, ask our generous God and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. So what we're going to do now is we're going to go to God for wisdom. We've already prayed, and now we're going to find the answers in the word that He's already spoken to us in the Bible. And that is going to be—we're going to begin with our scripture reading. And I really like the version that Zedel read from. It's very similar to the main version I'm using today. But it's very clear about how it's involving the thoughts, and so we're going to read that again. It says, we are human, but we don't wage war as humans do. We use God's mighty weapons, not worldly weapons, to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people We keep people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. So we can see from this text that we need weapons, mighty weapons, to fight this war, and that involves human reasoning, false arguments, and involves our thoughts. About capturing our thoughts, rebellious thoughts, Teaching them to obey Christ. Very much happening in the mind here. We're going to turn to another passage, and this is going to be kind of like the main focus of the message today, and it's probably very familiar to most of you, and that's in Ephesians. Ephesians chapter 6, verses 10 to 18, and we're going to read through it, and then we're going to look at the different elements that it talks about, the different Elements of God's armor. So Paul begins by saying, a final word: be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God's armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh and blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world. Against mighty powers in this dark world and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. So once again, just highlighting the nature of this war. It's not an earthly war. It's not between humans. It's a mighty war between mighty heavenly beings. We continue. Therefore, put on every piece of God's armor. So you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle, you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth, the body armor of God's righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the good news so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, Hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere. So. One more text before we dig into Ephesians. In 2 Corinthians 6:7, Paul says, we faithfully preach the truth. God's power is working in us. We use the weapons of righteousness in the right hand for attack and the left hand for defense. So let's think about that for a second. There's, you know, the armor of God, but there's 2 things that you've got in your hands. Okay. If you think about that, what are you going to use? Think about all the different elements of the armor of God. You've got the helmet of salvation, the belt of truth, the armor of righteousness, the shoes of peace. You've got the helmet of salvation, you've got the sword of the Spirit, and you've got the shield of faith. So what do you think are you going to have in the right hand that you're going to use to attack the enemy? You're going to have the sword, the sword of the Spirit. So we need to have that in our hands, at our fingertips, the sword of the Spirit, ready to attack. In the left hand, we need something to defend, something that we control, move around, change. The shield of faith. So we've got the sword of the Spirit, the shield of faith, and we've got all the armor on to protect us. Amen. So let's go through and have a look at the different elements of the armor. I'm going to start with the belt of truth. So first of all, where do we get the truth? That's a good answer. First of all, John 14:6 says that Jesus is the truth. I am the way, the truth, and the life. And then like I heard just before, The Word of God is the truth and makes us holy. And you also see, if you look at earlier in John, John chapter 1 talks about how Jesus is the Word. So it's all connected. Okay. Also, the Holy Spirit is known as the Spirit of Truth, and it leads us into the truth. They're all working together to bring us the truth, and the truth Then brings us freedom. So obviously, if we've got freedom, then we haven't been defeated by the devil. Because if we're defeated by the devil, then we're a captive. So we've got truth, we've got hope. The flip side is that the devil hates the truth, and he loves lies instead. So we see that truth comes from God, and now we see that the devil. Hates it, and he uses lies. In 2 Thessalonians, we're told that Satan will use every kind of deception to fool those who refuse to love and accept the truth. So if we don't have the truth, if we don't love it and accept it in our lives and have it a part of our lives, we're going to be deceived by the lies of Satan. So what impact What impact does the truth have on our lives? What impact does it need to have? Can we go about doing our own thing and have the truth as well? Well, no, we can't. Because Romans 1:18 says that wickedness suppresses the truth. So if we are allowing sin to continue in our lives and we're not confessing it and accepting God's forgiveness, then we are going to lose the truth. Amen. 1 John says, we do not have the truth if we say that we have fellowship with God and keep on living in spiritual darkness, breaking God's commandments. So it's very important that the truth changes our lives. We get the truth from God. It's opposite to the lies of Satan, which is what he uses to fight. And we need to make sure the truth changes us. Amen. How does this come into our thoughts? Well, oh sorry, one more verse. I forgot about that one. Only those who speak the truth will be saved. So truth is very important. Philippians 4:8 says, and now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true and honourable and right and pure and lovely and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. So as we mentioned earlier, with this war, it's happening in the mind with our thoughts. And here in Philippians, Paul is saying that we need to fix our thoughts on what is true. So we're just making that connection, that clear connection between truth and our thoughts and the war that's going on. It's interesting. I've been reading this book lately, and it's called Telling Yourself the Truth. And it's a really good book because it talks about all the little myths, the lies that we tell ourselves that we almost like grew up believing, maybe some of us, and pointing them out as lies and saying, look, this is not what the Bible says about you. This is opposite to what God says about you. And so I found it, it's a very enlightening book, and it's helped me to grow and to, like, redirect my thoughts and help to bring them more in line with what God says, what is the truth. And one of the things they say in this book is that if you tell yourself untruths or lies, you will believe untruths and lies. And then if you believe something, you'll act as though you believe it. So here we can see that translation between the thoughts through to the actions. So if we're thinking stuff, we're gonna believe it, and then we're gonna act it. So the choice is, are we gonna— are we gonna think the truth, or are we gonna think the lies? The truth. So that's the truth. Next, we're going to look at the armor of righteousness. The first point we need to note with this is that our righteousness is filthy rags. So if you think about this in the context of a war, if you've got armor on and the armor turns out to be filthy rags, it's pretty useless, isn't it? You got these fiery arrows coming towards filthy rags. You're going to get hurt, and so our righteousness is going to be pretty useless. Therefore, we need to put on Christ's righteousness. He is the source of all our righteousness and strength. So you may notice I put some references here. Feel free to write them down. Look them up later. I've just. summarized it, but I've got it here just if you want to see for yourself exactly what the Bible says about it. But yeah, we can see here that we need Christ's righteousness as the armor. And it says that in the text as well. As you can see on the top of the slide, we're putting on the body armor of God's righteousness. The cool thing is, even though our righteousness is filthy rags, And it's not going to stop any fiery arrows. We know that Christ's righteousness never fails. So we need not be discouraged. How do we receive it? We receive Christ's righteousness by faith. So just like the truth comes from God, the righteousness also comes from God. Now we move on to the shoes of peace. Peace comes from submission to God and fixing our thoughts on God. So that's how we get peace. For our thoughts, the battle's happening in here. We need the peace in here. And it comes from submission to God and fixing our thoughts on Him. It's important to know that peace is internal, not external. It's peace with God. It's not peace with everyone around you or peace with the world. There's quite a few verses in the Bible that talk about that. Like in Matthew 10:34, Jesus says, don't imagine that I came to bring peace to the earth. I came not to bring peace but a sword. That's interesting. Sword of the Spirit, Word of God. So peace is internal. Peace is a gift of God, of the Holy Spirit. So once again, just like truth and righteousness, peace also comes from God. And peace is a message of good news. And then we have the shield of faith. Hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. So what is faith? Hebrews 11:1. Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen. It gives us assurance about things we cannot see. How important is faith? Verse 6 tells us it is impossible to please God without faith. So it sounds pretty essential to me. Where does faith come from? Faith comes from the Word of God. Romans 10:17, so then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. And then what does faith do? Faith is a gift from God. Ephesians 2:8 says, for by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God. So just like everything else, faith comes from God. So as we're talking about all this and you're thinking about the different elements of the armor, If you're in that situation where you're thinking, oh man, I don't have that, and I don't have that, and I don't have that, don't worry because it all comes from God anyway. All we have to do is ask for it and He will give it to us. There's a couple of things to note when it comes to the shield of faith. And one of them is Romans 3:22, Which talks about how we are made right with God through faith in Him. So that's how we get our righteousness is through faith, which God gives us. And also faith must be accompanied by actions. And this passage, because it's a bit longer, I thought we'd actually look it up. So if you want to turn with me to James chapter 2. And we're going to start in verse 17. So James chapter 2, verse 17. So in James chapter 2, starting in verse 17, we read, so you see, faith by itself isn't enough unless it produces good deeds. It is dead and useless. Now someone may argue, some Some people have faith, others have good deeds. But I say, how can you show me your faith if you don't have good deeds? I will show you my faith by my good deeds. You say you have faith, for you believe that there is one God. Good for you! Even the demons believe this, and they tremble in terror. Interesting. How foolish! Can't you see that faith without good deeds is useless? And then we look at an example: Abraham. Don't you remember that our ancestor Abraham was shown to be right with God by his actions when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see, his faith. And his actions worked together. His actions made his faith complete. And so it happened just as the scriptures say: Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith. He was even called the friend of God. So you see, we are shown to be right with God by what we do, not by faith alone. And then we've got Rahab. Rahab the prostitute is another example. She was shown to be right with God by her actions when she hid those messengers and sent them safely away by a different road. Just as the body is dead without breath, so also faith is dead without good works. I was also thinking with Rahab, she also had to demonstrate that faith in tying that cord in her window. To signal that she believed that God would actually save her. So that is the shield of faith. We've got 2 more. We've got the helmet of salvation. And I like this text because sometimes I look at it and it's like, well, how does salvation protect us? It was something I struggled getting my head around a little bit. But in 1 Thessalonians 5:8, it says, but let us who live in the light be clear-headed, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation. So that helps to make it a bit clearer. So that confidence that God is saving us, God has saved us, God will save us, that confidence protects us from the attacks of Satan. So we'll look at a couple more points about that. Salvation comes from God and it comes through the Holy Spirit. And Christ died to save us from our sins, and He is coming back to save us from this evil world. So there's a couple of aspects to this salvation. It's present and it's also future. So He saved us from our sins, but He's also going to save us from this world. We're not going to be in this war forever. So we can have hope with that as well. Another thing in Romans, we read that trials increase our confidence of salvation. So if you're going through tough times in life, one thing that can encourage you is the fact that it's going to increase your confidence of salvation. Your helmet is getting stronger through the experience that you're going through, and you're being better, um, protected against the attacks of Satan. Finally, we have the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Hebrews 4:12 says, for the Word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost Thoughts and desires. So we can see here the word of God has impact on our thoughts, which is where the war is happening. So it's pretty cool. I think so. Now we've looked at all the elements of the armor, but there was one more thing that Ephesians talked about, and it's a very important thing to help to tie it all together, and that is prayer. They say to pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. We're fighting in a mighty war. We need mighty strength. And that strength comes from God. Psalms 46:1 says, God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. And David also said in Psalm 138:3, as soon as I pray, You answer me. You encourage me by giving me strength. So you need strength? Pray for it. God will give it. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. So if you're feeling weak and powerless, trust in God. You will get the strength you need. This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel says. Only in returning to me and resting in me will you be saved. In quietness and confidence is your strength. So, after all this, you know all this knowledge, you try to put it into practice, what happens if you trip up? It happens. Happens to me. I'm sure it happens to all of us at one time or another. Proverbs says, the godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked. If you want to know what side you're on, the question is: Are you getting up again? If you're getting up again, then you're with the godly. How do we get up again? First John one verse nine. But if we confess our sins. To Him, that is God, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. Just come to Jesus, ask for forgiveness, claim that promise, believe it, and you've got it. Keep fighting. I want to look at some examples about people at war. I've got 3 examples. We're going to start with Adam and Eve. Probably familiar with this story. Devil comes along to Eve and he said, did God really say you must not eat the fruit from any of the trees of the garden? So he was questioning the truth. He was insinuating that God might be lying and that He was withholding good from her. He was attacking that belt of truth. And Eve decided that she was going to try and correct him and arguing with him and all that sort of thing. And then Satan says, you won't die. God knows that your eyes will be opened as soon as you eat it, and you will be like God, knowing both good and evil. So first of all, he was like, oh, I'm going to insinuate that God is lying. And then when he engaged in that conversation, then he's like, okay, now I'm gonna deliver an all-out lie. And but then I'm gonna say, you know, I'm gonna mix some truth with it because, you know, if you eat this fruit, then your eyes will be opened and you know good and evil. But he's, he's framing it as if that's a good thing, you know. But it wasn't a good thing. God wanted to protect them from that. And so he's kind of twisted it all up. He's really attacking her. So what's she going to do? She had a choice. Would she hold up that shield of faith in God's Word, believing it to be the truth, and then fight back with the sword of the Spirit? Or would she lay aside the shield? I go, I'm not going to believe it. I'm not. I'm going to choose to believe this serpent, this serpent, the Satan, the devil, instead of God. Because, you know, which one are you going to choose? You've got to choose one or the other. It's just, he said, he, he said, you know. Um, and in this instance, she decided to lay aside that shield of faith, and she decided instead of believing in God, she was going to believe serpent. So that was gone. She took the fruit. She ate it. She gave it to her husband. He ate it. And then what happened? Well, their armor or their robe of righteousness disappeared. And they were found naked. And then as they were in the garden, they heard God coming and they're like, oh no, God's coming. Quick, let's hide. So here they were. Their peace with God had disappeared. And one by one, they lost every part of their armor. They no longer had that peace. They no longer had that faith. They no longer had that truth. They no longer had that righteousness. They needed salvation, but they didn't have it. They were losing their battle, but God didn't leave it there. He he gave them opportunity to regain it all back again, but they lost that battle, and they had to start again. That's our first example. Next one we want to look at is the example of Jesus. So in this example, Jesus had been in the wilderness for four. 40 days. He hadn't eaten any food. He was starving hungry. And in this situation, this vulnerable position, Satan comes along and he says, if you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become loaves of bread. So basically, he was saying, I don't believe you are the Son of God. Do you believe it? Prove it. You know, he was insinuating stuff. He was Planting, trying to plant doubt. He was sending his arrows, fiery arrow of doubt toward Jesus. And it was tough because Jesus was hungry. He was vulnerable. But the difference is He had His armor on. So first of all, He chose to believe the Word of God above the words of the devil. He chose to believe the truth. And what was the truth? Well, Well, God had said to him after his baptism, this is my dearly loved Son who brings me great joy. So Jesus knew for a fact that He was God's Son. He didn't need to prove it because God has said it and He believed it. So He had that shield of faith. His mind was at peace because He was right with God. He had the armor of righteousness because, as we know, Jesus had never sinned. He had his helmet on, for he had confidence that God would save him. He didn't have to try and save himself by turning the stones into bread. He trusted in God. And this confidence enabled him to fight, even though it was hard and it seemed impossible. And so he had the belt of truth about his waist. He held up the shield of faith. And then he grabbed the sword of the Spirit and he fought back. He said, no, the Scripture Scriptures say people do not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. So that's a perfect example—the only perfect example—of how to fight this battle. And you can see the different elements of the armor there and how important it is. The last example I want to talk about is myself. I don't have like a very specific occasion, but it's kind of like a group of— well, a recurring theme that comes up in my life. And one of those is that I make mistakes, and I'm sure we all do. But one of the things— I have this tendency when I make a mistake, I really beat myself up about it, and I feel really bad, even if it's just a A little thing. I'm just like, oh no! I'm a terrible person because I made this mistake. But do you know what? That's the devil talking. That's the devil saying you're a terrible person. Yes, it's true you made a mistake, but it doesn't mean you're a terrible person. Because what does the what does God say about it? Well, if you've come to Him after you've made the mistake and you've confessed your sin and asked for. Forgiveness, then he's washed you clean and you're all right with God again. So you're not a terrible person. So you can choose. You can choose to believe that truth. Like what is the truth here? That is the truth. You're not a terrible person. There's a bunch of texts in the Bible that talk about how God sees us, and we can look them up. And if you want to, I can share with you afterwards some of the ones that I found. But once you ask for that forgiveness, once again, you have the armor of righteousness. You've got the helmet of salvation. You can have that confidence because that God has saved you from your sin because that's what He has promised. You can have peace with God because you have accepted that forgiveness. And so now what you need to do is you need to believe it, have faith in it, and fight back. With those verses and say, "Look, the Bible says if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I've confessed my sin. I claim God's forgiveness. I believe He has forgiven me. And so you have no right to tell me I'm a terrible person because I'm no longer a terrible person, even if I was before, which I wasn't, because God has made me right with Him. God has made me a new. Creation. So that's me. What about you? You are involved in a conflict between good and evil. This conflict is occurring in your mind, in your thoughts. You need to use the armor of God to successfully fight this internal conflict because we're not fighting against weak things. We're fighting against mighty beings. Will you choose to put on the armor of God and fight? Friends, I want to invite you, if you want to make this commitment, if you want to put on God's armor and fight this battle, I want to invite you because I'm choosing to do it. I want to invite you to stand with me. If you want to put on this armor of God, You want to fight this battle? I invite you to stand. And then as we stand, I'm going to pray for all of us that God will give us the courage to stay true to this commitment and believe His promises, to have that faith. Let's pray. Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for this, these words that You've given us. Thank You that You have promised to give us all these elements of Your armor, that it all comes from You, that we all have hope. We all have the same opportunity. I pray that You'll help each one of us to remember to pick up the armor of God each and every day and to fight these battles that are occurring in our minds, in our thoughts. And if we do happen to fall, help us to get up again, to confess our sins, to claim Your forgiveness, and to keep fighting. To keep fighting until the battle, the victory is won once and for all.
